Future Fit Homes Retrofit Show at Pip & Jim's church in Leckhampton on Saturday, 8 February (10am-4.30pm).

Demystifying retrofitCheltenham Borough Council has secured funding from the UK Government and the South West Net Zero Hub for a Retrofit Engagement Officer, Sue Gorman, to help homeowners understand and progress retrofit works, no matter what size. Retrofit is the process of improving energy efficiency through building improvements, low-carbon heating and solar PV/battery storage.Sue is able to support 30 homeowners in properties with EPC ratings of D, E, F or G through the Future Fit Homes Cheltenham project. The project will provide thermal imaging surveys (to show heat loss), unbiased guidance, signposting and support tailored to your circumstances. For properties without EPCs, these can be provided for free (an EPC is the first step in any retrofit journey). For those homeowners who are ready to progress a retrofit project now, Sue will make an introduction to Gloucestershire's appointed retrofit partner, Furbnow, who offer an end-to-end project management service including installer sourcing. If you'd like to be part of the project or can recommend someone you know who would benefit from support, please contact sue.gorman@cheltenham.gov.uk or call Sue on 07350 404844. Support will be allocated on a first come first served basis and applications close on 28 February. You can meet Sue and Furbnow at the Future Fit Homes Retrofit Show at Pip & Jim's church in Leckhampton on Saturday, 8 February (10am-4.30pm). Sign up for one of the scheduled talks at HOME | From The Ground Up, see Air Source Heat Pumps and electric boilers in action, and chat to installers.
